Living On A Shelf…

Posted: August 9, 2012 in Poems
I’m less plan B, more checkpoint
A save point, pause, reload;
Like a path with no horizon;
Down a long and dusty road.
I’m upfront, plain and honest – I wear not a false mask
But to want me, need me, love me
Seems the toughest task.
Since a boy, I’m a broken toy – though I’m “quite nice on a shelf”
Well thank you for the “compliment”
I’ll now expect nothing,
No disappointment
When I live life by myself…
